Sorry, this is a huge pet peeve with me.

Companies / Government have made the H1B synonymous with foreign workers, but the H1B program is restrictive. Companies can deflect all the criticism, "we only have a few and we pay them fairly"

Because thats NOT the visa they use. They omit the fact the most of the guest workers are on L1 visas, which have no restrictions!!!

And for fucks sake, no one ever calls them out on the L1 system.. it's literally modern slavery... And it's undeniable.
