I'm not Catholic but the RCC obviously is a religious establishment and it has a long standing tradition of 2000 years. They were part of the Church Christ established for half of that time but officially fell out in 1054. At least they were within the Apostolic Church at one time while prots aren't even aware that such a historic Church existed, still exists and will exist until the end of times. They think the Church was established 15 centuries after Christ during the jewish led Reformation.
