You're right that "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." doesn't say only the Jews. But Jesus only ever addressed his lessons to his fellow Jews and deliberately excluded the goy.
Here's what Jesus DID say about the goy, which demonstrates that his only concern was the Jews:
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Joh 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Here Jesus once again explicitly states the Jews above others in declaring that salvation of of the Jews.
