Judaism is not the Hebrew religion. You may not know that God Himself is a divorcee. God can not sin.
Isaiah 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called."
and
Jeremiah 3:8 "And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also."
It does not matter what Christians have been mistaught. Divorce is not a sin. It can be a gift to correct a mistake.
Matthew 5:32 [with explanation of the Greek] "But I say to you that whoever separates [without divorcing his wife], except for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery [when she marries another]. And whoever shall marry her who is [only] separated commits adultery."
All verses in the new testament agree with Deuteronomy 24. In the Hebrew and Greek there is unity of faith and doctrine.
