You're comparing a decentralized system (me, sharing info) with a centralized one (money issued by a central bank).
I can always revert to printing out pamphlets if the internet is heavily censored. We won't be able to revert back to cash once digital money is fully implemented. They are already getting rid of ATMs and closing branches in Australia because people "have adopted digital payments". They are like: "Trust me bro, it's just free market supply and demand and totally not a carefully planned and socially engineered process of digitalization and getting rid of cash."
