Of all the things to happen. I would take a electrical blackout over a pole shift or a 88,000 year winter.

Sure, shit would be bad for a few years but things would normalize again. I dont think billions of people would die. Millions yeah.

All the yuppies who never bothered to learn any real skills or read a book about things like gardening, scavenging, hunting, etc.

Im no davey crockett, but Im pretty sure I could survive in the woods if I had to. There are plenty of places in this world where there are huge groups of people who still live without power or running water, sadly. Appalachia has parts of it still like that. I know lol. When I was a kid my dad made me visit a couple, they were both severly diabetic, the guy bless his heart had his legs chopped off from the thighs from complications towards the end, didnt let it get him down.

They lived in a shack with a dirt floor and shat in a bucket, they lived like this for 50 years together. Im sure it was nice when they were young and able to take care of themselves properly. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of mainstream, but for alot of us there, it was enough.

Most people in the western world have no idea what true poverty is, but most of us appalachians know.
