Oh canadian healthcare. Absolutely abysmal.
Besides my own experience, being poisoned with refrigerant, told that freon cant cause irregular heartbeat. Denied betablockers for 7 months. And when its all said and done WCB, the main doctor involved, the labor board. All can just continue lying to me and I have zero recourse.
Like I told the college of physicians here in nova scotia with my last response to one of the doctors who seen me.
I understand in a medical system like canada, which is being underfunded and destroyed and I have to question whether that is on purpose with the intents to make canadians pay twice for their healthcare.
I dont believe these people are idiots, they knew what freon can do. They were just banking on the chance that the issue would resolve on its own. It didnt. And now everyone is just going to lie about what happened. Its so godamn disgusting.
I was talking recently about a friend here who breaks his heel, hes late 20's.
They dont do surgery on him because they claim the break is clean. Dont even cast him properly, just make him pay out of pocket for a boot.
Goes in months later, finds out there was actually two breaks and that they should have done surgery, but its to late now. What are they going to do, break his entire foot again?
Even after what happened to me, this fool believes that these people just "overlooked" the xray initially.
Nah, they just pretended like they didnt see it because they were chancing that he was young and it would heal on its own. Im sure some boomer needed new knees that day after a lifetime of partying with money that this generation will never have.
And because there is literally no liability for anything in canada, medical negligence is hard to prove, there is no recourse. I cant even get justice for a fucking blatant case of poisoning.
And why should the doctors care, they are overworked and underpaid by a government that clearly doesnt care about them either.
I assume that the main doctor who fucked me up by denying me betablockers was some sick pyscho fuck who enjoyed torturing male patients and he proably considered that a perk. Me and my partner agree, he was smiling when he told my holter report was completely normal.... even though the very first line of the results was "Prevailing rhythm was sinus arrhythmia"
Yeah that might be normal if I was 14, or a fucking triathlete. but as a mid 30's overweight man, experiencing insane blood pressure and could feel every pvc I was having, it was a terrible, terrible experience. Just fucking terrible. Buddy offered me anti anxiety medication or a psychologist referral instead.
Fuck canadian healthcare, and fuck trudeau and anyone else who defends it. Rich fucks just fly to america or elsewhere like mexico for cheaper when they need their healthcare anyway.
