It is a cover of Soviet satire magazine named "Crocodile". 1958 Really it wasn't full of political stuff, mostly there was ordinary satirical or funny pictures, memes (nobody know that term at the time, of course), anecdotes and funny stories. There was a mandatory political and social satire, but been a child I just skipped that stuff. Now I think that this was not so clever thing, from time to time I saw scans of that things in internet and they are fucking perfectly aligned with our current clown world.
