Someone very close to you goes to the hospital and is diagnosed with terminal cancer. The doctors give them three months to live. He/She immediately tell friends and family the bad news. However, with a good diet, medical care and support that person actually ends up living another three years.
When they die after three years, are you in shock? Not really, in fact you’re grateful that you knew the truth and that they got three additional years to live. You’re especially grateful because you got to tell them how you felt about them and prepare for their death.
When we think about it we realize that doctors were wrong about how long the patient would live but they were right about the cancer. But you’re not really upset about that.
A week later a second different person close to you has a brain aneurysm which causes a massive brain bleed and within seconds they’re dead.
Are you in shock? Yes, and you’re gonna have a lot of difficulty dealing with their death because you never really got a chance to tell them how you felt about them. You weren’t given the opportunity to gradually get used to the idea that they were going to die.
Do you see the difference? Neither case is great but I would much rather be able to prepare for the death of someone that I loved. Yes of course watching them suffer at all would be painful. However, seeing them finally released from that suffering would also soften the blow of their ultimate death.
If you still don’t understand the difference, go look up the concept of culture shock and consider the worst cases of culture shock. The worst cases are when a primitive group of people suddenly encounter a technologically advanced people for the first time with no warning. These primitive people may have never even known that technologically advanced people existed. Meeting advanced peoples often destroys the physical and mental health of primitive peoples.
When people with advanced technology encounter people who are primitive, they are less shocked. They’ve either read about those primitive people in books or maybe they saw documentaries about those people on television.
The ancient aliens show has been wrong about much of the evidence that they present but that doesn’t eliminate the mountain of credible evidence for the presense of alien entities on earth.
You can’t hand wave away the unidentified flying objects that have been messing with US military forces for the past 50 years. And the US has been one of the most secretive countries about the existence of UFOs. Other countries like Chile or France are much more open about it.
We are gonna have to get used to this idea of the alien presence on Earth. Ancient Aliens did us all a favor in preparing us for disclosure day
