The article here doesn't say it, but this is NOT new. Been happening long before Covid came to town. That's why we know it's the Irvings, it's the only explanation, really. They own all the production facilities and make all their chemicals them selves at the Irving Lube Plant in Saint John.
They'll do anything to keep the cushion they have here. If Irvings tried to do what they do here, anywhere else in Canada, they'd have been bankrupt eons ago. Crooked as crooked can get.
Example: recently, they took the Province to court over gas prices. Said they lost too much money during 2020 and needed to up crude prices going to businesses. Province said no. Surprisingly enough, we had gas prices go UP 5 weeks in a row about 2 weeks after that ruling - so they got what they wanted anyway.
Speak out or stand up to the Irvings and you're done in New Brunswick. It's been this way here since they set up shop in the 1920's.
We are, however, fully prepared and we EXPECT the NB Government to come out and tell us it's Covid related.
