I tried to scrap old copper pipe from a house renovation. After taking the copper pipe to the scrapyard, I was photographed, finger printed, took a copy of my ID, and I had to wait three days to get my money...$20.
Ayh did not have to wait 3 days, but ayh know what you experienced.
As far as Lowes, ayh have seen caged wire now in 4 states.
If I was a registered contractor, I would not need to wait the 72 hours.
I'm glad I decided to go three days before leaving the state though.
