I'm sure having a newborn and avoiding a birth certificate is do-able. But is there a way to have a newborn and not be plagued with problems? What about a social security number, are there alternatives? I would appreciate any insight on the topic.

hell awaits you if you try to sell the infant
I just want my own child to not be government certified like they are a fricken car or something.
I think of it more as a proof of existence. Either way, it's a lot easier to disappear from the system than it is to join it, if you want to give the kid options.
It's really gonna be proof of ownership.
When driving a big truck in the US, like a big rig, if you want to take your kid cross country, you need a letter from the truck owner and ID of the child indicating its your child.. its all due to trafficking issues...
So when I was driving my 13 yr old daughter with me in MY rig, I carried a letter from MYSELF indicating she was authorized, then carried her birth cert her ssn paperwork, her id, my ID, a note from the mother, a copy of mother's ID, etc etc.. got pulled over in TN and had a 2hr ordeal with the damn cops... thought was gonna have to shoot it out..
Thry will just take the kid "because no proof"... the state thinks they own everything inside their borders...
I really get your purpose and point, maybe go "greyman" then the child can unperson later.. just disappear. No credit, no trail, nothing..
Well, they kind of do. Nobody contests it. We might be slightly better off, but we're all still just peasants to them.
But yeah. That stop would have absolutely been a shootout if your daughter didn't have a birth certificate. Then you'd be dead and she'd be fast-tracked to some pedophile. The system sucks, but unless you have the means to fight it or avoid it, you do have to deal with it to an extent.
