its a reminder of the sun's micronova cycle... there are other esoteric meanings regarding the astral and other modes of existence, but the exoteric meaning is that the earth is going to get wiped.

eh, im not really invested in it either way, the "hole at the pole" is equally likely an astral reference. just curious, have you personally been there and seen it?
