For as much as I admire Musk, the shorts were correct and Tesla had severe delays and was near bankruptcy. Musk lied about being close to bankruptcy. Now Musk is the richest man in the world and the short sellers lost out. It didn't matter that they were right. Lesson: don't short a genius CEO who can see 20 years into the future and bend reality to his will.
