Pike helped form the "Knights of the Golden Circle" which was a masonic off-shoot. The KGC's goal was to build a slave empire in the area of the Gulf of Mexico.
Pike was known in freemasonry because he wrote influential commentaries on masonry. He was also a Scottish Rite Freemason, and not a York Rite Freemason. This is significant because the York Rite is the original system of masonry followed by Washington and other founding fathers. The Scottish Rite evolved later (late 1700s) and appears to be the system which became infected with Illuminati beliefs (or was maybe founded upon) which Washington had spoken against publicly. Later masonic traditions like "Skull and Bones" are based upon Scottish Rite practice, and not York Rite practice.
Pike took Scottish Rite principals and beliefs and further warped them into the doctrines the KGC practiced. Also, Jesse James was a Knight of the Golden Circle also.
TLDR: Pike was a piece of shit who warped masonic principals in order to sway other masons into helping found a giant slave empire because they felt the Confederates didn't do it right.
“A giant slave empire” isnt that kinda what we have now? No need to be slave masters when you can control the currency and just keep people running faster and faster to survive, while you skim the fat off the top...
No more like if you were to imagine the Confederacy covered the entire Gulf of Mexico area and Caribbean islands but were harsher to the slaves and generally more violent.
