You can see this on earth too. Ever notice the Sun’s rays beaming theough the clouds? You can see all kinds of angles of Sun rays, up to 90 degrees. This would not happen if the Sun was a million miles away. The angles would all be the same.
Correct. Rays allow us to find the position of the sun by triangulation.
