People care less of "long-term effect" of the vaccine because they assume the long-term side effect should be "lighter" than the short-term side effect. So, they gauge the possible long-term effect from the observed short-term effect. But if you know more about vaccine, or if you have been "anti-vaxxer", you have all those knowledges accumulated, you can learn/know instantaneously the current Covid vaccine is very very dangerous with 100% of confidence.
