If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? - John 3:12 KJV
Only Jehovah Witnesses and Muslims believe their bible is the perfect, verbatim word of God.
Even Catholics admit that the bible is INSPIRED by the word of God, rather than being unquestionably perfect.
Most of the references you listed are also from the Jewish Torah, which I personally have never felt comfortable with because of it's calls to mutilate babies, mass murder entire nations, REMORSELESSLY slaughter your entire family and fuck around with pagan bird blood magic.
I focus more on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ rather than Jewish myths and human commandments.
Your thoughts, beyond just a down-vote for taking the time to address your post?
I've never considered Jesus Christ's bloodline to be important to my fellowship with Him.
Be my guest and see if you can guess at which of the Jewish claims are self-serving myths or not, but I'll focus of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Hate me if you want, but I worship God not the Jews.
Perhaps you're just a better Christian than I am and in a pissing contest over who's love for Jesus Christ is bigger, you'd win by a mile?
Is that the reply you are fishing for?
FTFY: You are regularly amazed by people who don't agree with you. How dare they believe something you don't when you know it all and are the definitive, all knowing, infallible and unquestioned mouth of God!!!!
Go and have a dance in front of the mirror to celebrate your righteousness. You deserve it.
My thoughts, since you edited and asked:. This post is not about following old testament or new testament, as there are many new testament references in the above post. KJV has it's flaws in translation to even the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) when it comes to translations especially in the old testament. This post should serve as a reference, no mention of earth being a globe, many to it being flat, non moving, etc etc.. TPTB aim to hide this information, so let this be a reference for you with eyes to see and ears to hear the truth.
How do you feel about the major point of my comment, which is is rare for Christians to consider bible scripture to be perfect? Sure, some Christians claim that during debate, but almost no Christian denominations actually hold that position. Jehovah Witnesses are the only mainstream Christian denomination that claims their bible is perfect... and many Christians argue that the Jehovah Witnesses don't qualify as a Christian religion.
You are often quoting the observations of fishermen who spent their lives catching sardine and carp before meeting Jesus Christ. I'm not surprised some of them believed the Earth is flat... and I'm not sure why you expect Christians to believe the Earth is flat because of that. These are people who didn't believe in using soap either...
Look at multiple translations, decipher what's out of context or not (context lost during translation). Most people are completely unaware of these verses or their context completely.
I was raised an atheist and what converted me was noticing how the life and teachings of Jesus Christ have proven themselves to be the most perfect foundation for 2000 years of culture, including modern culture.
Jesus Christ's teachings propelled the white race to climb to extraordinary heights to reshape the world with our philosophy, architecture, agriculture, medicine, science, technology and respect for God given human rights... whereas moral relativism leads to Drag Queen Story Time and the Jewish religion of mocking Jesus Christ's teachings produced arguably the most spiritually bankrupt, most exiled and most hated people in human history.
It's not always easy to notice that we're standing on the shoulders, on a mountain of achievements built by 2000 years of study by Christian scholars.
Thanks for the link, but I honestly only watched the first 21 seconds. I'm unsure if all the doctors proved that no miracles happened and I don't care if they all claim that "unexplained" happenings / miracles did occur.
I don't care because none of this has any basis in faith.
I don't believe that the existence of God can be scientifically proven because I don't believe that Christianity is a science: faith is literally at it's core.
I don't believe that God is like an ATM that give out wishes on demand.
I don't believe that God answers prayers that oppose His will and I don't believe that God answers prayers immediately or in the way that we anticipate.
I appreciate the arguments I used to make as an atheist when I was young: everything from trying to disprove scripture as if Christians believe it is literal to arguing that religion is a subconscious product of the fear of death... but that doesn't change my faith.
On a completely pragmatic and no spiritual perspective, from what I've seen, following the teachings of Jesus Christ seems to be a far, far, far better path than moral relativism or any of the other pedophile religions.
