It's sad to see good people so invested in Trump that they don't want to admit he sold them out. If It wasn't obvious he set his supporters up on Jan 6th it is now with his ardent embracing of the vaccine agenda. I point this out to them and they become just as triggered as the leftist snowflakes they deride.
Are there any other internet forums or sites that still allow open discussion worth checking out?
He did a lot, most of it calculated for a broader impact. He spent five years tearing apart the MSM and every opposition in the Federal Gov, while at the same time giving a breath of fresh air to the middle class.
I don't approve of his message on the Vax, but until he starts talking against his previous positions, I don't feel that he's compromised, just that he's wrong on a topic that's well outside his wheel house.
If you want the world to get better, we can't make perfect the enemy of the good and burn everyone that isn't perfect to the ground.
As the Word points out: judge not lest ye be judged.
If the worst case scenario comes true with the vaccine, none of Trump’s actions prior to this matter whatsoever. He has access to more data on vaccines than us. He has established big pharma ties. It is awfully naive and counterproductive to assume we are somehow more informed on the key aspect of Operation Warp Speed, Trump’s so-called greatest achievement, than he is himself.
It is awfully counterproductive to build a strawman and try to beat him up.
Trump's "ties" to big pharma, I assume you are referring to the ad campaign several years ago from Restore the Public Trust that tried to skewer him for having people in his administration that worked as execs in pharma before joining his administration.
Can you point me to personal ties that would have him personally profiting on these recommendations for the vaccines?
We are talking about a man who walked out into the public space at the beginning of this hoax and went 'This is going to kill two million Americans, we have to do something.' And then tried to do just that.
He fell on his face because he knows nothing about pharmaceuticals and took the word of people like Fauci, who did all of this before with AIDS and profited handsomely from it back then.
I assume, like you do, that he had additional information on the Vax before he left office - but I also know - and saw with my own eyes, and then had people admit to it when he left - just how much misinformation he was fed as President. Never attribute to malice what could be stupidity and all that.
As for the worst case, we as a society can't be lead around by the nose by anyone - not rando Hollywoods or people like Trump. Everyone can be wrong. And every once in a while, we will need to water the forests - not that I support or condone violence.
