I was thinking about how fast the earth moves around the sun.
Google says we travel 584,000,000 miles
So 584,000,000 miles divided by 365 days is 1,6000,000 miles per day.
Then divide 1,600,000 by 24 hours and it turns out we are traveling at 66,666.66666666666666666666666666666666666 etc. mph
You’de think travelling that fast would cause changes in astonomical observations that have been observed and unchanged for literal centuries.
Space is huge, and its contents have a shit ton of emptyness between them. Moving even 1 billion miles won't make a dent in observed astronomy.
