A hyper-sensitive test picking up trace elements of the common cold combined with the elimination of flu data. To my knowledge, deaths/hospitalizations from the common cold have never been tracked. We have nothing to compare today's numbers with. In reality, the same number of people died this year as every other year from the common cold. That's why the aggregate numbers were similar in all states.
