Well it was a 2nd hand rumor that someone had heard in the first place (that they had the laptop) which made it 3rd hand knowledge, which didn't hold a lot of value on it's own. Now this? Color me shocked.

So I'll continue believing that they did not in fact have his laptop for anything.
