sorry for another thread on my ban, but I thought this was worth mentioning, especially after the events of the last few hours.

Conspiracy sub is done anyways, theres no way you would've been able to control it. Hell even the conservative sub is a joke now, with users calling those at the capital terrorists. I really think its just a bunch of r/topminds that are spreading themselves out to try to seem in the majority. Jokes on them that their lives are miserable and we're happier than ever no matter what happens
Should a conspiracy sub really be controlled? I find that statement odd. We don't need people crafting narratives.
If there’s an obvious brigade coming in trying to make fun of people for their beliefs, they should have been taken care of in my opinion
You guys and your fear of brigades. You see brigades everywhere, when sometimes the truth is just people don't like or don't agree with something said that was shitty and baseless. These are link based sites based off sharing links and thoughts. Of course when you share things people with other opinions are going to find said links and thoughts. Of course some will disagree and of course some will be malicious. The way to defeat them and to keep integrity is to maintain truth and have solid arguments, not cry shill and ban people out of paranoia.
agreed, but when if you have a forum to discuss ideas, and people come in with obvious plans to disrupt that, they should be banned. It's not hard to tell when people are legitimately disagreeing with you, or when theyre just trying to derail an entire thread and resort to name calling. Yes you can ignore them, which is what I and most people had done. But it really seemed like it only got worse and worse.
Almost as if there was someone with their hand on a dial, and theyre ever so slowly cranking it up and up and up hoping to get into peoples psyche that they are alone in their thoughts and should give in to the peer pressure. felt like an attempt at manipulation to me
