They're making it almost impossible to have a social media account that can be anonymous. Everything has to tie back to an email, a phone number, an IP address, ect. If I make a new account from my home computer under another name, Facebook knows that it's still me. If you're banned on account, any new account you make will also be banned.
Facebook also doesn't seem to allow you to sign up for a new account if you're on a VPN. I use Nord and the instant I register a new account while connected to VPN Facebook says the account is locked and will be deleted in 30 days.
Just wondering if anyone has their own experiences or ideas about the subject.
This hinges on a way to get a burner phone. Can you buy used phones on e-bay and use a charge card?
Internet-cafes solve the IP problem better than proxies.
For phone numbers what about something like WhatsApp? I've never thought to test it before but I suspect Facebook might screen our numbers from it. A burner is a good idea though
Guess what, of Trump has his wish and they get rid of The section 230 protections it will be even worse and every single site will require ID or just profit verification of every single post.
People don't know what they are asking for to get rid of those protections, they just want to be assholes with no repercussions.
I would not she's a single tear to watch Facebook or Twitter crumble. I don't care how many people lose their jobs. It could be millions for l care. And I would lay in my bed smiling, every single night.
You can not go to them. That's also an option.
You're the kid on a video game page where when someone asks about a problem with his Xbox, you say "Pfft get a PS5 fag"
