Do you use windows, mac, android or apple operating systems? If so then any privacy tools you use are pointless
What do you recommend?
It's a valid point if you are asking in the context of internet usage. It goes deeper than your OS. Thanks to Intel Management Engine and AMD Platform Security, it doesn't really matter what you use. Backdoors are an integral feature of all new processors.
Go back in time to the Core2 Duo before IME was fully integrated into processors. Look for processors that support libreboot. Most every chip will be vulnerable to spectre and meltdown though, try not to give physical access to advertising companies or law enforcement in the event you fear repercussion.
Never use Wi-Fi, shield your network cables from RF leakage. Ground all your window screens to Faraday cage your living room. Tempest protocols outline some basic protection for the home office of the paranoid.
Once your packets hit the line between your modem and your ISP, all bets are off.
Okay, that's fascinating. The operating system isn't surprising to me. I knew switching to Linux was a good long term strategy. However, I had no idea the processors had these vulnerabilities.
No, your wrong. Sorry being so blatant.
Android it self can be very privacy minded. Have a look at for example GrapheneOS. And there are dusins good Open source verified Android OSes.
Windows, it exists some very good debloaters, telemtri removing scripts, and Group policy scripts. Combine them with disable Defender and install SimpleWall. It's never going to be 100% with MS, that's true. But with Android you can.
I use custom os on my android phones as well, but Normie's have no idea what that is so its easier to explain
