It's already that way I hadn't used it for about 3 years loaded it up went to my front page half the subs that I was subbed to are banned. The other subs are dead where it used to be 5K to 20K uploaded it's now hundreds and no comments. Why would you comment on that site when it will probably be removed or just Shadow ban.
Yep..and the other half or rather the majority, is just pure censorship propaganda, even down to the cute little dog and cat posts that people seemnto just gobble up.
Correct; I've long known that reddit is vastly (~60%+) NON-American, which perfectly explains why it's so damn communist.
Buncha statist, socialist pigs. >:-(
How did Digg fall, exactly? I went from Fark to Reddit - skipping Digg. I remember the Digg migration and everyone being mad at MrBabyHands or something like that. Something about power users, but I don't know enough about Digg to understand the drama.
they couldn't control the narrative by just the articles they posted because of the comment, so they banned commenting. not just for unverified, but just in general.
It will be nice to see reddit go the way of Digg. I was part of the big Digg exodus in... '04?
What would be even nicer would be to see all those who ruined reddit with inorganic marketing and political accounts and bots lined up against a wall and shot.
Enjoying that reddit will be realizing it will soon hemorrhage users and become Digg. Cheers lads

Oh yeah man, most reddit users are foreign, you can tell by the alexa rankings.
https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/reddit.com#section_traffic
41.7% are americans, and no idea how many are bots, or chinese agents with VPN’s to make themselves seem like Americans.
This is opposed to the .win network, which is around ~90% American, with even more using VPN’s to appear elsewhere

Reddit = China and China = asshoe
REDDIT IS ASSHOE
Fuck china
I remember migrating from Digg to Reddit.
Reddit has felt like a dying platform for a while now...
fark to digg to reddit
with stumbleupon sprinkled in there

Digg ultimately died because they redesigned its UI and not listening to its community. Sounds vaguely familiar...
I never used Digg, I vaguely remember a controversy over bluray?(Or was that a different site?).
Here is a corporatist perspective

Basically same thing you say about power users being the only ones who could vote up/down. Not sure how you became a power user.

Ever since stumbl disbanded and switched to mixx it was shit. Reddit I had hope. Then lib mods everywhere

they have bots now, they can pretend not to go down like digg
in fact... it might have gone digg a while ago already hahaha
I mean, isn't something like 60%+ of twitter's "users" proven to be bots? If they can do it, why not r3ddit?
I mean, by all metrics it's really more popular than ever, unless you literally don't believe any metrics, which is also possible.
This tbh
