I think everyone knows, given the current climate, that Big Tech censorship will inevitably lead to a mass blackout.
This post is an attempt to gauge the amount of new users this community has, and to encourage everyone to create posts, to show that we are serious about making the switch to alternate forms of media.
We need to gain traction outside of Big Tech. The only way to do that is to be active members on this site, to gain a larger following as newcomers start trickling in. An active user base is the quickest way to make the necessary transition. Hopefully enough of us will answer this call to get the ball rolling.
We won't be under the thumb of Big Tech any longer! We all just need to do our part.
give it some time...just stickied this at /r/conspiracy and it will be announced on TD later.
Hopefully not too many of the r/politics shills come over here
Its ok, we just need to remember to use the Deport button as often as they pop up.
REEE-port.
This site has been needed for a long time. /r/conspiracy has been under attack at all times for years now. First, it was /r/conspiratards or something. Then it was TMOR. Now it's /r/politics and /r/worldnews.
No doubt, the trolls and shills will come here too, but at least the mods won't think their efforts are fruitless (inevitable sub ban). I think the mods here should be very lenient depending on the type of discussion taking place. That's what made /r/conspiracy so special.
Auto-ban everyone who says "What's the conspiracy?"
I agree with you fully. The mods definitely need to approach moderation with a leniency. Dissenting opinion is what makes conspiracy theories so enjoyable.
With that being said, there is a fine line between dissent and shilling or trolling. I have confidence that our mods will operate in good faith. With the years of moderation experience combined, these mods are up to the task.
Yeah, I'm confident in their abilities and self-control. They're possibly the best mods on the internet. I was only banned once from /r/conspiracy, and I get banned from everywhere. I sent axolotl_peyotl a message and asked him if I could be unbanned and he allowed me back in. I'm honestly really excited about this site. We just need to help build the audience and participate as much as possible.
The man, the myth, the legend.
If we want to beat Big tech censor, we need to find places where we can talk(write) about all our views, without them darn shills and bots.
This page is new to me though, but already I feel a hope, that we can express our thoughts freely here.
I got tipped about this place from Axo in /conspiracy and Axo is a guy I have followed for a long time. I share most of his theories/facts.
Thanks for the tip, Axo.
Edit: typos
If you know of any secure ways for things like reddit, the chans, boards, etc. I'd love to know which ones are good at this point. I can't tell the real ones from honeypots these days.
The .win movement has all potential to be huge and not under Big Tech control. Really pleased to see it!
I'm here from a link a friend sent me.
I'm a long time Reddit user (different username) , but haven't been back there in about a year because of the cancer.
I'm looking forward to being an active part of this community.
I am back baby!
R/conspiracy is completely infested with r/politics type shills. I haven’t been on there in maybe a year. I’m glad this place exists now.
Can anyone point me to the software that runs this board? Is it open source?
