Text of clip for those who don't want to do youtube clicks.

change the IDR [student loan income driven repayment] program, raise the floor of what would be 0$ per month payment. 80k is what may be looking to do. Make more people eligible for $0 per month, but yet that would be credited as a payment. Makese motley (director of federal policy and Chiefs for Change) thinks Department of Education doesn't know how to count figuratively and literally. Says second graders can count better than US Department of Education. "Take his word for it". At the end of the day you basically put whole swath of federal government on the backs of middle class and poor people. Makese does quasi lobbying despite not being a registered Lobbyist at the moment, he used to be.>

"think of it like having a client, and your client has certain concerns or things they're watching, and you know that the HIll has certain conerns and things they're watching." Makese job is to watch what are the concerns for his members and translate that to the Hill. Biden Admin tells him what to do. Chiefs for Change recommendations/initiatives often became agenda items for Biden Admin. Like Increased funding for Title 1 and the Institute of Education Sciences and increase Pell grants (for the gender studies and what not).>

Chiefs for Change receives millions in funding from several Democrat non-profits and foundations like Blue Meridian Partners ( a partner of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation ) .

According to Motkey, not only had the administration expected their loan forgiveness to be struck down in the Supreme Court but also have an unannounced "backup that would radically change the current income driven repayment program"

Motley has been talking with biden admin and 'definitely' is a backup plan. According to several seconds of clip. Will change current rule of 32,800 dollars a year rule to 80k. "the pause ends in august. so they're starting to think about all these people who haven't paid on their loans in three years." Some people like him and other 'smart people' keep track, but there's a whole swath of the country that they've moved since the pandemic so they don't know what the fuck is going and gonna be hard to track them down. first couple of months of repayments are expacted to be awful because people just aren't gonna pay and they know that. IDR is 'Income Driven Repayments'. When you do IDR's it's staggered based on your income. Payments are determined by your income and need.

"in some of the loan programs it used to be like if you were below poverty [income level], your minimum payment was $0. becuase you're considered in pverty, had an inability to pay. They are looking to change that new regulation to like 80k yearly income." Don't hold Motley to that number, but some number around that range. Would allow more people to have 0 dollar monthly payments but get credit for payment under a 10-year payment plan. If you IDR, if you've made your payments on time for 10 years, in theory yours loans should be discharged no matter the balance is. "wanted to after Supreme Court does first and they have it in rule making now." Motley got asked what think will have happen when people find out about the plan. Motley says stude loan programs are so complicated and as he is trying to explain it right now. He doesn't think people understand what the fuck is going on.

Given march 2023 national debt for federal student loan 1.64 trillion dollars. Plan Motley outlined would qualify almost 60 percentof student borrowers to be credited for making no payments on their loans while ignoring the national impact such a plan could have. Motley instead describes the loan program as a "Cash Cow for the federal government"

"so because conservatives are against the us not paying our student loans 'cause their worried about the national debt" "A bit yeah they're seeing that and it is a cash cow to the federal government because a lot of discretionary programs are funded by student loans. At the end of the day, you basically put a whole swath of the federal government on the backs of middle class and poor people. " "let's be honest, those are most of the people who took out student loans."

" So Biden's back plan was that kinda his way of manipulating it?" "Little bit. They had to go through the right process, but if that goes through, it should make it easier for folks who make under 80k-90k a year to make their payments. Which means if you make on-time payments for 10 years, your debt is tired. That program has got a lot of problems. Has problems because the department of Education doesn't know how to count, figuratively and literally. Second graders can count better than US department of Education. Take my word for it. They fuck up payment, counting paymenbts. So, people have gone in and tried to claim their tenure, like loan disbursement... they'll claim like "oh, you didn't make this on-time payment or this payment want's...." or "Wee didn't get a record of this payment." Even though they did, the program is fucked.>

So pretty much change the rules for bribing for votes and increase the National debt more. encourage more useless degrees, etc.

  1. PV just sent out emails asking for money.
  2. Problem is there is no opt-out link, which is required by the FCC CAN-SPAM act: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN-SPAM_Act_of_2003#Unsubscribe_compliance : https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business . Applies to non-profits as well for this type of email.
  3. Each violation can be 10's of thousands of dollars as far as I know.
  4. So they may already be in violation for not putting in an unsubscribe link, but I think If everyone here who got a PV email replies back with 'unsubscribe', and they don't comply within 10 days then anyone who files a complaint with the FCC could result in HUGE fines, and maybe even shut down PV for good.
  5. Hope there is a laywer/expert here to back this up.
