So did Noah, Naaman, and Nebuchadnezzar go to hell even though they acknowledged God alone?
Anybody could be saved, but the promises to the “COA” weren’t to them because they weren’t apart of Abrahams nations.
You realize 90% of Christina’s throughout history had the same view as me. Are you calling all the church father who said the same things Muslim f**s?
The point of the text is that Naaman, and Nebuchadnezzar, and others, worshipped the God of Israel as sole power, and were accounted faithful for that reason.
The covenant to the “COA” didn’t apply to them because they aren’t jewish descendants. How many times do I have to say the same thing over and over and over again.
just mullah fags
You literally called Jesus a fag and insulted. Clearly a violation of rule 1.
Did the return from Babylon lead to never being shamed or reproached again (Ezek. 36:15, 30)
Yes, because Jesus came afterwards and made sure that wouldn’t happen
Was it by profaners (23) or by Torah keepers and temple builders?
Literally through Jesus
Did it lead to a flourishing like Eden (35)?
Again, Jesus.
it makes you look even sillier as you don't realize you're inventing it.
Wow, violation of rule 1 right here.
Namaan the Syrian
He wasn’t a COA.
Ishmael's land covenant seems to be alive and kicking, despite their rejection of Jesus (1-2 billion Muslims). I wonder why you don't think Israel's land covenant is. You somehow think that the blessings to Jacob were all one (spiritual and national) rather than divisible into ordinary biological and spiritual open to all (as the OT regularly shows).
Ishmael had no land covenants. The current state of Islamic countries being mostly 2nd world has nothing to do with Gods’ covenant.
Only said to a handful of Jews by another Jew who had a million Jewish followers that century and another million Jewish followers right now who call themselves Messianic and worship Jesus.
Never had a million Jewish followers the first century and Jewish culture is based off people who don’t believe in God and are “children of the devil”. Christians are a small minority of Jews right now, so Jewish culture is based on being the “COD”.
Christians are agreed then there would be no reason to forbid the Jewish Christians from carrying out their Hebrew culture in the Holy Land any more than we would forbid Chinese Christians from carrying out Chinese culture in China.
The Jews aren’t the “COA”, so they don’t have any right to the land. Simple as that.
Yes, it speaks of the return of Israel from Babylon.
How did non-biological Jews get saved or in covenant, like Shuah's daughter, the mixed multitude of Egyptians, the Gibeonites, the Kenites, Ruth, the Samaritans, etc.?
These people were only the "COA" by joining the Israeli nation. In no way could you be a "COA" when you didn't join the Jewish nation before Christ.
The Jews were descended from Abraham and Jacob. The biological descendants of Jacob had a covenant from God. The Jews claimed they were the "COA" because of there biological descent. Jesus said they weren't and instead the children of the devil because they didn't believe in him. Therefore the covenant given to "COA" doesn't belong to them anymore.
Why were Ishmael, Midian, and grandson Esau not "children of Abraham"
They were the "COA", but had a different set of covenants and blessings than the bloodline of Jacob. If they don't believe in Jesus, then they aren't the "COA" anymore.
majority Messianic Jews in the future because they would be Christian
Jews are the "children of the devil" and not messianic according to God HIMSELF. Get that in your head. The promise land doesn't belong to them. If the Jews become Christian, it still won't because there is no "ethnic" separation in Christianity.
That is amazing!! Christianity has definitely been growing in India, but I haven't been able to talk about it with any of my Hindu friends because Christianity is so foreign and different than Eastern religions. I've been able to debate with my Muslim friends though.
I earlier this year had a huge debate with one of my Muslim friends on Islam vs Christianity. We both spent hours and hours researching and watching debates for each side. It was very hard to debate because Islam doesn't require any proof to believe in it, it just claims its' right.
I was able to eventually successfully make an argument with the Islamic dilemma that my friend couldn't refute. In short, Islam essentially says the "bible" is true while while claiming the opposite of what the bible claims. I have refrained from telling any other Islamic acquaintance's the same argument against Islam because I would feel guilty shattering there worldview that they spent there whole life being brainwashed to believe in.
The facts are so clear. The Jews aren't the children of Abraham anymore and instead the "children of the devil" because they rejected Jesus. Therefore the covenants to the "children of Abraham" in the Old testament don't apply to them. The promise land isn't promised to them anymore then.
Thank you for this friend!!
Over the line?? A covenant is two sided, the Israelites have to obey God to have the blessings in it. The Jews follow a ideology that Jesus said made them the "children of the devil".
Even if God specified the promise land still belonged to the "biological jews", It still wouldn't rightfully belong to the Jews because they rejected Christ and are the "children of the devil". They would have to accept Christ first to have the land mandate to be given to them by God.
Did Jesus say "Ye are Abraham's seed"? Yes. Did Jesus say "Your father Abraham rejoiced"? Yes.
It really is quite simple, in the Old Testament only those who were biologically descended could be the “COA”. They had specific blessings and covenants given to their biological lines.
Meanwhile, Jesus comes down and paves the way for everybody to be the “COA” with ethnicity not being a prerequisite. All you have to do to be a “COA” is to accept him now.
Lineage doesn’t matter anymore, there is no covenant to any specific group of people anymore.
Ishmaelites and Midianites would be children of Abraham in every sense, but they were not accounted as his children because they didn't have the faith of Abraham.
This is false, Isaac and Jacob were chosen before they were born. It wasn’t because they had more faith than their siblings. The blessings to the “chosen people” were chosen to be through Jacob’s line.
The spiritual covenant was always the same: believe on the Seed of the Woman to be revealed. Tribal and national covenants arose at many points in history and are easily separable.
The covenant God made to Abraham were to the “children of Abraham”, or the biological Jews. Jesus came and said that anybody could be a “child of abraham” by believing in him and lineage didn’t matter.
There is no “Jew or greek” in Christ. There is no special promise to any group based off lineage anymore. How is this so hard to understand??
Literally called Jesus stupid, you are arguing with God here and not me.
In John 8:37 Jesus said “I know you are Abraham’s descendants”.
in vs. 38, “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would[c] do what Abraham did.”
In vs 42, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God.
In vs 44, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.“
Land covenant is distinct from Eternal Salvation yet there you go conflating the two again 🙄
I already explained this in the most simplest terms. Let me be even more simpler.
The children of Abraham before Jesus were just biological descendants.
Now Jesus came and said the children of Abraham were not biological descendants but instead those who believed on him.
Now, the promises to the “children of Abraham” don’t apply to the biological descendants anymore. In other words, the biological descendants of Abraham don’t have the land as a god given right anymore.
See, there you fall into a natural consequence of your refusal to allow any other definitions but your own. If this were true, why don't the Christians run the Levant?
Jesus said the Jews aren’t “children of Abraham” anymore. Therefore the promises given to the “children of Abraham” don’t apply to them. The Jews don't have a god given right to take the land for themselves then.
It’s so simple, stop arguing. Jesus himself said “Why is my language not clear to you?”. Stop twisting Jesus’ words and take what Jesus said is clear at face value.
As for those who can inhabit Canaan? It will be Christian’s for all of eternity, reigning with Christ in new Jerusalem and mt. Zion.
When you say things like "there are no two senses," you deny this basic reality; do you have no body? Do you have no soul? Of course you have both. The Bible addresses both.
You could only be a “child of Abraham” by being a biological descendant in the Old Testament. Jesus told the Jews that descent didn’t matter anymore and that they could only be a “child of Abraham” by believing in him. He specifically told him that they were a “child of the devil” and not of God by rejecting him. You are literally arguing with Jesus here over this.
The promised land covenant doesn’t apply to the biological jews anymore, but to the “children of Abraham”. The people who accept Christ regardless of their genealogy.
Same, I love talking about religion. I’m glad that there seems to be a movement towards God in the west. I’ve been seeing way more young people talk about God openly in real life and on social media.
I have not been around those boards, thank you for sharing them with me. I’ll go check ‘em out for sure.
That’s fair, I don’t disagree. God will be a righteous judge and rightly decide who can inhabit that land.
I’m sry if my respond seemed harsh. I totally understand your viewpoint and what you’re saying.
It does logically make sense for God to still favor the people he promised so much to in the Old Testament. I just think Jesus ended the privileges, but you can definitely argue he didn’t and see it another way
Jesus is coming back to reign in person in Jerusalem, when that happens it will be the holy city of God, or Zion, in the most technical sense and is the only Zion I recognize.
That’s a fair point, I don’t think it has to do with Jews but with the “children of God”.
Jesus Himself is a Jew and He has been promised things too, it's the culmination of God's Kingdom coming down to earth and His children, first in Spirit and form and soon in Glory!
Correct
Promises to Israel (the people and the promised land, with God) that have not been fufilled are still in effect to His purposes and time.
This is false, there is no promise of God to Israel that any other nation doesn’t have. Jesus himself said that the Jews weren’t the “COA” because they rejected him.
Not to a select few, to the status quo Jew that rejected him. The Jews are the children of the devil because they rejected him.
