Hat Tip - Ace of Spades blog

The CEO, Bob Iger, had a recent shareholder meeting statement, in which he buffaloed investors with a lot of bullshit. DEIsney's share price rose from something like $92 to $110.

But it might not have just been Bob Iger's unbelievable bullshit that caused the rise -- there is a persuasive case that an army of bots has been assembled to constantly talk up how attractive DEIsney's stock is, and how, allegedly, it is exceeding analyst expectations.

For Christmas, I got a set of Spymaster binoculars by Celestron. Power is 25x70. With the weather finally warm in my midwestern area, I was out looking at the sky.

I have a more powerful telescope for seeing the stars, and how Jupiter's big red spot goes around, as if the planet is round....like ours. Also looking for aliens. But it's hard to look at moving objects with a telescope. The binoculars are perfect for this.

Visible to the naked eye are both chemtrails and contrails from aircraft. For those who don't know, chemtrails are the while lines like clouds that trail across the entire sky, while jet contrails are exhaust, which dissipate relatively quickly.

With this set of binoculars, I can see a twin engine jet flying through the air quite clearly, and you can see the trail coming from the horizontal stabilizers or in some cases the tailfin, on some aircraft.

Now I realize, that some might say that what you think you see when you see a chemtrail coming from the rear of the aircraft is just the contrail after it's cooled enough to be visible, which is about the time it's at the rear of the aircraft. But on any given day, aircraft can be seen from multiple angles, and you can sometimes see chemtrails dispersing from the tailfin directly, and this line of vapor appears different from contrails coming from the engines.

This is a terrible analogy for several reasons.

  1. Lot's of movies don't have plot leaks because, even with thousands of people working on them for months at a time, the incentive is shit for leaks. Wonder why there was no plot leaks from a shitty movie like The Marvels or Blue Beetle? Because nobody gave a fuck about those capeshit movies. But there were major plot leaks from Avenger's Endgame II galore. And major plot leaks from Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny actually forced them to reshoot major portions of the movie because a whole lot of people cared about the outcome of both movies.

  2. Time. Once the movie is out, nobody gives a shit, because we know how the movie ends. Conspiracies like the moon landing as a possible hoax are NEVER put to bed.

  3. Likewise, a whole lot of people care about something like the moon landing. I don't care whether you think it was real or not, but because the incentive is there for revelations of a fraudulent nature, you'd think someone would come forward by now.

  4. There are lots of movie leaks, a whole YouTube insider information network has been developed by YouTubers like Lord Doomcock. The exception that a few movies don't somehow have leaks, proves the rule that MOST movies do have leaks. Movies that people don't give a fuck about, surprise surprise, don't have leaks.

TLDR - It's about incentives for leaking.

...it means you're creating a completely untestable, cannot be disproved theory, of why something is happening. It's not smart, it's rather stupid.

Why did Russia go to war with Ukraine? I dunno, but everybody with power got together and agreed that they should, so they did. Why did the 6 swing states all stop counting at 3 am and the GOP not do more about it? I dunno, but everybody with power got together and agreed that it should happen. Why did Epstein get killed? I dunno, but everybody with power got together and agreed that it should happen. Why all the talk about aliens, and why now? I dunno, but everybody in power got together and agreed that aliens is the next thing, before we switch over to Taylor Swift. Why does Elon Musk talk shit about Disney and Bill Gates? I dunno, but they must be faking it because they are powerful and they are reading from a script.

You see how stupid this sounds, and how you sound, if you believe that everything is rigged and that there is not competition among elites, even if they do agree on some things from time to time.

Make a model of reality with predictive power. Make a prediction based on your model, and let's see what happens. I disagree with Gzero on most of his predictions, but at least he's not trying to sound smarter than he actually is by saying it's all from a script.

Everyone posting here is so sure of themselves. There is very little intellectual humility. It's usually something like "It's all a LARP" and "They are reading from a script" or "Jew XYZ" the "Superbowl/election/stock market are all rigged" there will be a "cyber event/disease X scandemic/etc. in 2023" and the classic "XYZ is fake and gay" etc. etc.

Admit you were wrong about something, because if you were always as right as you think you are, you'd be rich and not posting on this fucking website, and we both know it. This is true even if you're batting .500.

I'll go first...I didn't think they would try vaccine mandates. Boy was I wrong on that.

Be really, really brave, I dare you.

If the Texas National Guard continues to put up barbed wire, following the lawful orders of Gov Abbot, the Biden administration will call them up, putting them under federal control.

This is what happened when Gov. Orville Faubus attempted to use the Arkansas national guard to prevent school integration after the Supreme Court's Brown vs. Board of Education decision.

Nobody is perfectly aligned with what you believe, except for you of course (provided your opinions don't change over time, which they invariably do).

I propose a thought experiment. Give me the perfect candidate for high office by mixing and matching historical figures and their abilities and opinions to create who you would want

Ever watch GI Joe and the creation of Serpentor? Same idea.

I'll start: Mix Pope Gregory the Great with the military acumen of Napoleon but the subdued ambition of G. Washington.
