Eggs were up 50 cents when I went to the market last week. Egg prices had stabilized to "down, but still expensive" for a few months after Trump took office, and now we're back to price hikes.
In other news, there has been a produce shortage at the grocery stores in my region for the past two months. Multiple stores and national chains across two states, and yet the produce department in all of them is either 1) full of empty shelves on a normal days (I've seen this with my own eyes), 2) picked over or straight up rotting.
The bread aisle at my favorite grocery store now has moldy bread in it. I guess it's not selling. I've never seen this before in the xx years I've been visiting that one store.
Shit's falling apart.
