I don't think it is possible to prevent leaks of technology in that scenario. I'm about not some physical alient tech piece, but idea or principle or even just knowledge that something possible. Such leak will be clearly visible in the more or less sequential human technology flow. It will be like appearence of complete digital computers, may be in mechanical implementation, but still digital, binary in nature in mid-17 century without any prerequisites for inventing binary computers like Boolean algebra, binary numeric system and concept of algorithms and programming.

I'm monitoring a lot of science and engineering stuff, papers, news, looking for such glitches for a long time, since I'm sure it is the best way to find a solid proof of aliens, but there is still nothing.
