It's a copy paste of speculation from another site. The "bunker buster" bombs are designed for this exact use and they are too large for IAF planes. If the exact depth and armor of an underground target are unknown it would be logical to use the largest and best weapons available.

The quantity of weapons used and the fleet size of the B2 with assumptions about availability line up closely. Using the B2 makes sense because it's stealth and therefore maintains plausible deniability.
