You should check out Jeranism on YouTube. He's a flat earth person, but I found him when searching for one of those astronauts on strings videos (like this one: https://conspiracies.win/p/141FOYAr9c/space-is-real-yet-undefined-and-/c/) and, since he doesn't even believe outer space exists, he's a great resource for discovering new content like those documentaries you mentioned.

You should check out Jeranism on YouTube. He's a flat earth person, but I found him when searching for one of those astronauts on strings videos (like this one: https://conspiracies.win/p/141FOYAr9c/space-is-real-yet-undefined-and-/c/) and, because he seems to believe even space is fake, I've enjoyed listening to some of his attempts to reconcile this with observation, while trying to keep an open mind. The flat earth stuff like his comes across as a joke, or even sarcasm / meme humor, but then somebody films an 8' tall fishing boat from 12 miles away and you're like "hmmm..."

My understanding of reality is that none of us on the ground will likely ever get to know for sure what's up there, why NASA continues to deceive the world (it's not money - NASA's entire annual budget is like a Christmas bonus for, e.g., a Lockheed exec). But I'm certain that none of the astronauts on space station are actually up there. I've seen too many convincing clips with wires and green screens; I'm 100% convinced their space walks are in a pool and their ISS vids are filmed on Earth and sometimes in a zero-G plane doing 3-minute arcs at +40k feet over the desert somewhere.
