I am referring to the genocides that Israel has committed. Or in otherwise, I am referring to WHY they are boycotting Israel which is what actually matters.
I guess if you wrote that the first allegations shouldn't be compared with proper boycotting, that would make it more clear. Because the title of the post already made a comparison of 2 things, and you use 1 from the title and 1 from your position (not from the title). I got confused because of this, I hope you understand. Also, I think OP is pointing to the fact that it's actually illegal to boycott Israel in the US. A strange law, wouldn't you agree?
Also, I think OP is pointing to the fact that it's actually illegal to boycott Israel in the US. A strange law, wouldn't you agree?
It would be - and it would be obviously unconstitutional - but there is no such law.
If I say "I'm not gonna buy Israeli products; who's with me," that's my right. There's no state or Federal law against it. No one's gonna show up at my door to haul me away.
There are laws like "Nevada will not accept bids from contractors who boycott Israel." That kind of law is constitutional; Nevada (generally) has the right to accept or refuse business as it sees fit.
When that gets twisted into "It's illegal to buycott Israel in the state of Nevada," it's pretty dishonest.
Export Administration Regulations / Anti-Boycott Act of 2018: Under federal law (part of the Export Administration Act framework and 50 U.S.C. § 4842), U.S. persons and companies are prohibited from complying with, furthering, or supporting unsanctioned foreign boycotts imposed by foreign countries against countries friendly to the United States—historically targeting the Arab League boycott of Israel
That law makes it illegal to comply with a foreign boycott. So if you want to import aluminum from the UAE, and the supplier says "We only do businesses with entities who observe the Arab League boycott, so we need you to sign this pledge not to purchase any Israeli products before we'll sell you aluminum," it's illegal to sign the pledge.
It's a very niche-case law. It doesn't affect domestic boycotts at all. If you say "Let's boycott Israel because of the genocide" and I say "okay, let's," that's completely legal for both of us to do.
The Cornell 7 case is clearly a tar baby for the right.
I've never seen so many idiots come out in support of liberal drug addicts just because they are educated men.
A bunch of criminals having a drug fueled orgy are now complaining about rape and we're supposed to care if they get arrested? Great way to lose the moderates in the midterms.
Those were definitely not "7 rapists." (You don't have to censor the word 'rapist.' That's weird.)
The Cornell case is complicated. The girl apparently wanted to get drunk and high and have a threesome with two dudes. That happened. It was very obviously consensual. But then she got too drunk and high, and as many as five other guys also fucked her. The consent there is shaky. She explicitly said it wasn't rape; then she got really ashamed of herself; then after a while she changed her mindset to "Well I wasn't really in any condition to make decisions, maybe I was raped."
Some of those dudes are obviously completely in the clear; some are grey-area; it's possible one or two of them effectively raped an incapacitated woman. The courts are going to have to decide. At the time Cornell assigned essays, I believe she was still in the "I wasn't raped but goddamn did I get passed around that frat" stage.
As for "States that you can't boycott or support a boycott of Israel..." well that depends on who "you" are. If you're the owner of a construction company bidding on a new courthouse, you can't boycott Israel or you won't get the contract. If you're a CEO running a pension fund, you can't boycott Israel or the state will choose a different pension fund.
If you're just some guy, there's absolutely no law against boycotting Israeli products; that's your First Amendment right. And in any case, these laws aren't criminal; they're administrative. They direct the state on where to direct its own funding.
not the comparison you want to make. believing a slut's attempt to save face from being known as a slut in 2026 is not in the same realm as being a vassal state to a foreign entity.
Cornell University expelled several students, and had cops arrest 22 students for protesting genocide but they only demanded 7 ra-ists to write essays after they forced a female student to take drugs and then gang ra-ed her.
In many states, actually almost all states you can't be a government employee and boycott Israel. You can't even work for a company that gets state contract. Both republican and democrat states are in on this.
Among those states, 33 republican and 4 democrat states you can't even boycott Israel even if you are a private guy. You will be accused of anti semitic Nazism and have to pay a huge fine and maybe even go to prison
Supreme court is now split on this. They think hate speech don't exist and you can say things against Israel without going to prison but they don't consider boycott as a speech at this moment. Need more deliberations.
Republicans are advocating woke cancel culture, actually lot worse than cancel culture, imprisoning, that mean gulag for behavioral socialcredit.
Back in my day republicans... Man I am getting old
We live in an Epstein world and there is no end in the sight... (there is an end that's why Ghislaine Maxwellhill is building terramar/boring/space relation)
Literally 5 minutes of research shows this is not rape but regret. Don't muddy the water by comparing genocide to this nonsense.
What "genocide" are you talking about?
Are you comparing boycotting to genocide incorrectly?
I am referring to the genocides that Israel has committed. Or in otherwise, I am referring to WHY they are boycotting Israel which is what actually matters.
Oh, I see now. Thank you for explaining.

What a sensible comment among dunning krugers

The essay is to get them to testify against themselves. It is a trap to get evidence.
From what I understand they haven't been convicted yet.
