Apparently English is not your first language. I believe a more appropriate word for "general strike" is "protest".
I think said shill, or I mean nonAmerican, is using the term "general strike" to mean when it's not just the postal workers, or farmers, or railway workers, but a mass of the populace goes on strike. You'd see such things in France in the past when they would threaten to raise the retirement age, before they were totally cucked that is.
