At this point literally anyone could be controlled op. I do listen to Corbett from time to time, but do not take anything he (or anyone else, for that matter) says without some critical evaluation. I like that his takes often go into some surprising and unexpected directions. Also, he does not fall into stupid left/right paradigm and he's one of the few who says elections are a farce and a theater (which they are). Seriously, there are too many alternatives who still have their heads up in political ass so deep that they simply can't see anything outside their tiny constructed political bubble. Trump this, Trump that. Biden this, Biden that. Democrats, Republicans... It's all bullshit for the masses. We have to realize that. Until then nothing will change.
I consider Corbett being something like a bridge between normie world and conspiracy sphere. Let's be honest, you can't show average normie, for example, Alex Jones (who's definitely controlled op) and expect said normie to actually seriously listen and evaluate that. You can, however, do that with Corbett.
The way I came to think of Corbett was as a conspiracy "stenographer", I know that's not the correct word but I like it anyway.
Really, it's more akin to a high school student assigned to write an essay on, say, "Rockefeller medicine" or "the CFR". He gathers up a few conspiracy articles, construct an outline, and summarizes and rewrites what is already in those articles.
You'll never get anything novel out of such a process, no shocking revelations, no insight. It's literally all been said before. That's why it is--by definition--not a threat and never will be.
I mean, this is important material if you have no knowledge of the subject whatsoever. The problem--the fault which "They" are exploiting--is that Corbett presents himself as a careful scholar and the reader believes this is the ultimate extent of the research. It is, of course, merely a beginning, and perhaps corrupted and misleading in and of itself.
After listening to all his published audio since inception (a decade?), this realization came to me only after I heard his take on the Ukraine war in 2022. It sounded like he had ripped it right from the headlines of the NYT and WaPo. FFS, how could anyone freely agree with either of them without having some extreme reservations that they had taken a wrong turn somewhere along the line?
I suppose from my own experience that I came to the feel I should have some grace for anyone who doesn't see it this way. But you gotta call 'em as you see 'em.
Really, it's more akin to a high school student assigned to write an essay...
Well, kinda, but that's exactly why he can be considered a sort of "normie friendly" conspiracy theorist. Again, no normie will never ever listen to what the likes of Alex Jones has to say, but some normies might listen to what Corbett says. (As an aside note: I suspect that this is exactly why the character of Alex Jones exist. To invalidate any talking point in normie minds that TPTB deem unwelcome to be discussed. It goes like this: Normie listens to a snippet of AJ talking and normie will never again take that point seriously, even if it's true.)
...no shocking revelations, no insight...
I agree with first statement, but not quite with the second one. Yes, Corbett does not make shocking revelations, but do we actually need them? The whole point he reiterates repeatedly is that all the information you need is already available openly. It's not about shocking revelations of lizard people, aliens, or elite eating babies... It's about connecting the dots and understanding how the system works. How it takes and how it maintains power. Also, about how to resist it.
As for insights... Well, not in every video, but he does actually provide insights and new ways to think about things from time to time.
...the reader believes this is the ultimate extent of the research...
I can somewhat agree with this one. Yes, he has certain boundaries outside which he won't go. Then again, it's up to each one individually to find information form various sources and glue it all together. There is not one truthsayer out there who will give you everything on a plate.
It sounded like he had ripped it right from the headlines of the NYT and WaPo.
Hmm, I got completely opposite impression. While he doesn't venture to some further out there theories (like the ones saying war doesn't exist or that it's fake etc), his analysis on basic facts is usually spot on. From the very start he has stated that this war is a building block for the NWO, that Multipolar World Order is the same NWO just in a different package and that basically the whole endeavour is totally engineered and planned. Also, that this is basically a war of governments on their own populations much more than a war against some outside enemy... Well, I don't know, but seems to me this is very different from what NYT and WaPo are saying...
All in all, it might sound like I'm totally defending him and agree with him on everything... That's not quite true either. The value of Corbett is his "down to earth" takes and interesting viewpoints to consider. Even if he is a controlled op, the likes of already mentioned AJ and all the other politically partisan pundits are much, much more harmful than Corbett will ever be.
As I have discovered it from personal research, the true (or at least far truer) state of affairs is quite shocking, so much so that few would have the capacity to even entertain the concepts.
The fatal problem is that it exists in a different paradigm than that discussed by Corbett or Jones or any other conspiracy researcher, whether authentic or disinfo. They will all just keep everyone running from pillar to post around the "mainstream conspiracy" paradigm while those "at the top" continue their work undiscovered and unstudied, and thus unmolested and unimpeded.
The reason I say the paradigm is different is because there is no accumulation or refinement of the sum of mainstream conspiracy research that will get you anywhere near the truth. They can even metaphorically stand right next it--in plain sight--yet never notice the crucial importance of it.
Virtually all of the evidence I draw on comes right from the normie mainstream. I just collect it up and arrange it artfully. I've often wondered why none of these other researchers--who seem to have dedicated their lives to it for far longer than me--have never noticed the same things I have.
I have come to no conclusion on that point. Certainly they could be paid and directed to notice and discuss other things, that's a simple enough explanation. But all of them? I'm left to speculate that it is not a matter of perception or analysis, but rather what level of truth one is willing to contemplate and accept.
See any of my numerous Salem Witch posts. Far more than what has already been documented is on the way. Find any connection to the work Corbett or Jones or any of the others has done. The work of Miles Mathis is connected, but I never miss an opportunity to highlight and specify how full of disinformation it really is.
Is the work all of them do harmful? I would let everyone judge for themselves but as I see it, one could spend a lifetime ingesting all their work product and die just as ignorant of the true state of affairs as at the beginning. Frankly, I believe that to be the point.
They will all just keep everyone running from pillar to post around the "mainstream conspiracy" paradigm...
Well, of course if you get all your information from a single source and do not explore anything else outside it, you won't get anywhere far. I think multiple sources and critical thinking is the key here. Also, not believe in anything outright. You don't have to have an opinion or some definite belief about everything. There's a lot of stuff about which I simply do not have any strong opinion whatsoever.
The reason I say the paradigm is different is because there is no accumulation or refinement of the sum of mainstream conspiracy research that will get you anywhere near the truth.
Hmm, but you have to have at least some entrypoint... You can't simply dump a lot of info on a normie and expect them to believe it. Even if it's true and correct. You see, it's a dead end. The more out there the actual truth is the harder is to get someone to even contemplate it.
See any of my numerous Salem Witch posts.
I'll check them out. Do you have some definite post to recommend or maybe something like tldr intro?
The work of Miles Mathis is connected, but I never miss an opportunity to highlight and specify how full of disinformation it really is.
Mathis is a strange one. He has opened my eyes on some things, but he's also sometimes very obviously full of shit. He calls literally anyone a disinfo agent, but he also might be one himself. Hmm.
Do all the vegan activists eat children in the secret of the night, ofcourse not, sure. They believe.
Yet how do they end up taking up the mission of those who hate them?
You make them watch hundred of cartoons where the carnivore is the bad stupid guy who ends badly, while the herbivore (bipbip, bugsbunny, etc) is smart cute and winner. After creating this emotional pattern within them, you then release research results that validate that emotion and those people, while believing themselves very smart and good, will be your cultural minions until the end, without even seeing what happened.
That's pretty much it in all fields, i just took one i know well as example.
