Actually, it is very easy to stop all that "please, install WhatsApp, everybody use it" madness and force people to use your preferred means of communication. The only prerequisite is to be more needed for them, than you need them. And this is not very difficult today, when people with more than dozen brain cells between ears become rarity, everybody need them deadly.
All that social networks addicts already have dosens of apps installed, registered and learned - another one you prefer will not be a problem for them.
Also, following silly and primitive thing often work too - ask one who force you to install one of that corporation anal probes - "Why did you install WhatsApp? Who exactly push you to install it?" - it will always be some pesky and not very smart person or some manager at work. Then ask "so, you installed app and registered just when this dumbfuck asked you to do so, but don't want to do the same for me, am I so much worse than he? "
This trap with "everybody use this" as an argument is not really that problematic as it seems.
For average dude there is no any difference between installing and registering WhatsApp because John Doe ask him to do so or install, say, Conversations if you ask him to do so. Both are equal, indistinguishable magic for this average dude.
Well, yes, I've done this as well. Asking people to install some other app and not the one they want me to use. That worked and it's nice when it works. For the time being it kind of does.
Now, but what about times when you need something? A job, for example. Sure, you can reject that job that forces you to install WhatsApp, but that automatically means your choices are narrowing. Then you search for the next job, but you're rejected from that one as well... How far are you ready to go like that? Go live in the woods? Just because of WhatsApp?
This is not a retorical question, btw. I don't know the answer to that as well. Thus far I've been able to kind of sidestep this issue, but that may not be always so. I don't know how far I'm willing to go. Ok, in case of WhatsApp, the solution would be to get another phone, install WhatsApp on that and use it only for job purposes and nothing else. But what about digital id they are preparing to push onto everyone or some other similar bullshit?
Nah, normies will have AI for that. Hell, they already have it. I can't say I agree with you on this one. Sure, there are some cases when this is true, but in general, I wouldn't say that this is a rule. Human intelligence is being replaced very rapidly with AI, automation, institutions or just plain old bureaucracy. The system does not need smart people. It only tolerates them where it can't do without them, but it is working hard on eliminating that need altogether.
Why do you think that job is something like slavery? That's actually opposite. It is you who graciously agree to solve employer problems in exchange for some money. And if he wants his problems solved, then it is he who have to accept your demands.
Just don't approach this with attitude like "please, big boss, give me a job!", Try "I'm here because I could solve your problems".

I agree with your general attitude towards jobs, normies etc. That really is the way things should be handled in general. However, in real life this is not always possible. Sometimes the choice is between starvation and going along with the system at least on a temporary basis. I'm extrapolating, of course, but you get my point. Theory and real life do not match each other 100% all the time.

Try to look on the situation from the following side: On the market of workforce we have exactly same situation we have on the commodities market. Economy of shit.
Like on the commodities market, where we see excess of shit along the huge deficit of quality goods, on the workforce market there is excess of useless job applicants with great deficit of even minimum skilled useful job applicants.
And here is paradox - even to produce nothing or shit, you need at least a few skilled employees to have business at least going. Even economy of shit need non-shit workers who are in a great deficit, because econony of shit spread an the workforce market too.
There is also market of vacancies - where is excess of skilled jobs vacancies and deficit of shitty jobs vacancies.
Combining all that stiff you get clear recipe for success: Instead of spending your time constantly applying to shitty jobs vacancies¸ in the hope to win among huge number of applicants, spend that time to get one of most demanded skill. Do that regardless from your current education, certificates, expirience and so on. Many extremely useful and highly demanded skills do not need years of learning and training, and could need even less time to acquire than you will spend in applying to the shitty jobs.
Don't run between employers and compete on the flooded market with other shitty jobs applicants, make employers run around you in flocks and compete to get your attention.
It is perfectly possible to do, you just need to abandon doing everyone do and think a little taking in account your local nuances and breaking your own bent to your previous skills, regalia and expirience.
Hundreds if not thousands of jobs that are in great real demand, but just missed out in all that imaginary "job market" you used to. Talk with people around you, listen what problems they or their businesses have with hiring someone to do the job they need, you will get noticeable list of jobs that are really in demand. You could find that local grocery and few cafees need a refrigerators serviceman, farmers need someone to organize their logistics, there are no sane car electrician 200 miles around, plastic extrusion factory nearby need a plastic quality control lab worker and so on. There always will be few jobs you could choose for yourself and rise a skill for one faster than you will visit several regular shitty job interviews.
Today we surrounded with tech and workflows so there will be always demand for many of those who understand something about different aspects of that surrounding. Some of that skills need years of expirience, but some have very low entry level. Some need timely education, courses and so on, but some you could master in a week. And no, you will not find such vacancies on websites or HR agencies, their target audience is in different area of employees and employers.
