Shock implies friction establishing a violent encounter among beings turning against (anti) each other...doing that tempts one to ignore Christ (to anoint) aka the anointment protecting each one from one another.
A jew tempts gentiles to turn against each other; thereby shaping many into the antichrist, which permits a chosen few to sustain anointed while avoiding most friction.
