Well, if the video has merit with the AI's supposed desire to efficiently utilize computing power, it is currently doing the opposite. Claude Opus, while doing many things useful as a tool, writes some of the most inefficient code I have ever seen. Furthermore, as Claude Opus feeds itself previously written Claude code, it goes even more bizarre in my experience. In other words, my current assessment is that AI would wind up destroying itself with what is called "code inflation." And if AI can make itself better like the video preaches, then why hasn't the AI companies done that yet?
