If this guy was, say, a gamer who uses slurs in his own home and streams, no one has a right to touch him. He's minding his own business. But it's fairly universal that among men if you go around in public looking for problems and find them, that's on you. Of course I wouldn't condone unlimited violence on someone walking around looking for trouble, but enough to teach them a lesson sure. Some people never got disciplined as a child and so they find it elsewhere, either from strangers or from the police when they act out.
