Most people think baby meat.
The best guess I have seen though is someone saying it is placentas from sex slaves. Because the spoilage timelines match up, and the scarcity seems about right. I even found a rabbi arguing that human placenta isn't unclean for Jews (using the argument that eating human shit isn't unclean for Jews according to some earlier ruling, no joke that was the argument.)
Don't they circumcise girl labia in Africa? Is it like the Oprah foreskin anti-aging face cream? Adrenocrome or stem cells or whatever? Is "beef jerky" dried African labias?

That would certainly be a twist.
I think that is mostly in north and east Africa, but probably depends on tribe and has some presence throughout, definitely isn't universal.
Pretty sure they did it in Egypt in the 1800s, in the more cruel variant where they also remove the clitoris.
