Interesting, what if western intelligence services created autists purposedly to get stuff with such abilities? Or may be autists are what come out from all that military program of creating supersoldiers? Autism is a rare thing abroad US and Europe, so it is definitely connected with US and Europe specific. Many attribute it to vaccination, this explain why only US and Europe, but what if it is not a final reason and there is another layer behind? Agencies/military needed people with special abilities, but efficiency of developed method was very low for labs, say, only 1 for 1000 subjects, so they created shit and posed it as a mandatory vaccine to get necessary output scaling their tech to millions.
