To develop, most people need a good kick in the ass. That horde of dumb consumers, who don't even know how things they use work, need a good kick in the ass to start thinking.
How all that free (as beer) social networks and other shit that for unknown for me reason accounted as "internet" are different from all that UBI and "communism" so hated here?
Masses gladly swallowed all crap corporations feed them, without single exception, and now, when time come to pay for decades of their lasiness and ignorance, they show displeasure. And where? In the fucking Twitter! That's the dumbest thing I ever saw.
At the same time, endless alternatives exist, but none of that lazy bastards ever show any interest, not even talking about some useful participation in all that really free things. Yes,, they had to pay with knowledge and some time, but that's a very low price. "I don't want to learn how to use your fucking Jabber, it does not have that nifty Emoji and client apps are not as nice as those from <big corp name here>, and all my buddies already in <whatever corporate shit name here>".
And now, all those who got heavily hooked on this internet UBI, loudly whine, demanding all their "free" stuff, they used to, back. In Twitter! :) :) :)
Nice. Eat what you deserved to. You turned up your noses from knowledge and building your own systems then, so don't come and cry looking for solution now.
May be, some finally wake up and start to learn something about things they use.
It's time to organize kind of AA for those who hooked on corps social shit and try to get off hook. :) Tell each other that stories, how you first used some Whatsapp or Instagram and then obsession become irresistible. How you forced your beloved to use that crap too and so on. IDK, may be that will help.... Well, hardly it will. Because of course you will organise your internet AA in the same Twitter or Facebook. :)
Those who was smart enough to not register in all that corporate shit, will thrive. And those who will finally find a courage and pride to abandon all that social crap will thrive too. So, all that "Age Verification laws" and other government and corporate shit is not a bad thing. It is a kick in a lazy ass.
I think that's a good thing. Very good thing.
