I respect that Russians' ears may not be attuned to the difference decided in America between negr, Negro, Niger, and other similar forms. Trust me on this, it's not the same as you describe in Russian. I can say "kafir" to my heart's content here but I can't in South Africa, that's legally actionable and worse in their eyes than any of the words discussed here. I had to learn the territory.
The issue is respect. It's possible to use a slur word respectfully, but this is rarely done here. Free thinking and respect are not opposed. If someone could make a case that there is broad respectful use of slurs going on, that might tip the evidence.
Enabling more outside sites would be nice but is an advanced programming issue and not expected of the mods, who are volunteers. People are free to make text posts with links in them, which might be more efficient overall than link posts; that can be done by common consent. Perhaps your tech expertise has some specific advice on this that would save anyone from trying to vibe-code it with AI help?
There is no territory in internet. There is no borders. And this is the way to completely destroy one of the basic thing used to manipulate consciousness by TPTB.
The issue is respect.
Respect is not something given by default. Respect should be deserved. And it is in no way connected with what you believed are "slurs".
When you demand respect for nothing, it does not provide real respect. It just destroy the whole concept of respect, and there become nothing and nobody to really respect.
All that "unacceptable slurs" idiocy comes from severe indoctrination and false premise that the whole world should follow a single design you think is "right". It is not. All "slurs" are fully deserved from the point of view of one who use them. Instead of trying to understand the reasons, you think it is better to ban them and swipe the whole layer of important thing under the rug.
If somebody here can't see behind the "slur" and unwind the whole background story and info you get with "slur", then such person have no place here. He is too dumb and fully bought by propaganda.
If you name me "orc", well, then, first, "For the Horde!" to you, and secondary - I get a big chunk of information about your cultural background. Same with "kafir", "snowflake" or "goyim". That's like a section that gives a megabytes of information squizeed in one word. This helps a lot to make a sensible conversation.

It wouldn't. Even links to outside sites leak at least your IP and browser fingerprint to the owner of that otside site. Imagine you want to find some information about users of some forum. All you need is to create an unique link on your site with whatever "interesting" thing you think will attract target audience, and put it on that forum. Since this link is unique, only people from that forum will visit it. And voila - you have a list of forum users IPs and fingerprints of their browsers. It is more than enough to find tons of information across social networks and other shit if you are friendly with that social networks owners or admins.
Embedding is much worse.
And this is exactly what attract most attention to this tiny and barely noticeable place. Somebody dig something unique, but tracked in Twitter, post it here as a post with embedded tweet and Twitter owners get a flow of user data,
The whole point of such small boards like c.win is to have a place to talk about anything without much attention. Since it is negligeable in user count (few dozens or something), it does not deserve resources to spend, like billion users social networks. But with embedding feature you simply attach this borad to all that social crap.
If you want a more or less safe way to share and discuss information you think important to share - then it's easy. Nothing prevent posters here to write (or copy) the essence of their link in text and provide a straight link for those who want to dig deeper. I really can't understand where an art of writing or even copypasting text go, so posting a fucking screenshot of text become mainstream, but I don't see any obstacles to ressurect this lost art.
Nothing needs to be altered in the engine of that silly reddit-like forum. Only thing is necessary is just willingness of community.
