ARGUMENT: People overlook some of the ethnic problems in these African nations. White people freak out at a 5-10% Muslim population, saying it is ruining their country, now imagine a 50% Muslim country and 50% non-muslim. How do you think that will work out? Chaotically or smoothly?
I'm starting to think many white people have a pathological need for blacks to never do well. In Africa they draw their borders in a way that leads to unstable nations. In America when blacks were making great strides post slavery, they were "helped" with welfare by LBJ. Now after generations of welfare and gangster culture which whites helped foster, white people look aghast and say "see these people can never do well. bad genes! bad genes!"
Then in other African nations white people made themselves a separated dominant minority and treat the blacks as second class citizens rather than doing some intelligent integration over time. Then came the predictable communist revolutions against the dominant minority group which led to economic ruin. And once again whites will say "see these blacks didn't know how good they had it as our second class citizens". No neither option was good, take some responsibility for your leadership.
That's not to say Africa would be Wakanda right now if not for white intervention, but let's not act like Europeans gave them a fair shake or treated them well.
As things stabilize somewhat we see some very high performing Africans (my family being among them). People will say "the outliers don't prove the rule". In fact they do, because it is only outliers who progress society technologically and culturally. It's not the average or below average person (like JG5) who gets to take credit for that, though they will try.
Ethiopia: never controlled by Whites, looks exactly like it's neighbours. Guess that's the "outlier that proves the rule"...
They were barely functioning on the level of Whites ("great strides" for over 100 years). Every single one could have been shipped back to Africa with zero negative effects. How are the Irish doing today? You don't know because they're at or above average, while Blacks currently account for half of all violent crimes.

Like, what? Building them roads, railways, and power infrastructure that they let collapse? Billions in food aid over decades? Create functioning systems of government where political leaders don't have to tell their followers not to eat their rivals? Invite them into our culture and welcome them into our religion? DEI and affirmative action? Wipe their asses for them? What more is there that Whites could do for them?
Yes, we love having to deal with self-destructive Blacks ruining public spaces and murdering Whites based on their skin colour. We love the welfare burden and having to lower standards so Blacks can pretent they can succeed in schools. And all the colonial Whites? I'm sure they were much happier to have to build civilzations from scratch, all across the continent, rather than being able to just trade for good already being produced.

Ethiopia isn't terrible from what I've heard. I watch some American youtuber who lives in Nairobi. Not saying it is Norway, but it's livable.
They were making great strides getting out of poverty prior to the 1960s. Poverty levels were declining quickly. That's a fact. Literacy rates climbed very quickly. You can even watch 1960s interviews with civil rights activists compared to the activists today, there has been a marked drop in intelligence. That might not even be limited to just blacks, but that's another story.
Which you should if you're bringing skills and ability from a more advanced society. Not surprising.

See there is that pathology. It's like the coddling mother. "I did all this for you and you couldn't do it for yourself". There was no intention to train up non-whites to those jobs or work with them. Just like Jews don't want to train up Palestinians to be anything but their grunt labor.

Why would we "train up" Blacks? We don't even "train up" Whites; we have some measure of schooling (although not in those days) and the rest people have to learn on their own. Whites did, Blacks didn't, simple as.
Jews are actively turning their cities to rubble and still the Palestinians rebuild. Nobody had to train Palestinians, they trained themselves to build their own cities under oppression far more severe than Blacks ever faced from Whites.

Only if you wanted to make your colonial projects work on a group of people without those skills and discipline. Instead your states failed.
There is a reason Latin American nations didn't end up like most African nations. Their natives also had much lower IQs as they lived simple and more primitive lives. But the Spanish were more open to integration. So in Africa white pride helped lead to the collapse of their own colonies, not only black incompetence.
