Yes a psychopath can play the game he needs to play at the time he needs to play it. But Trump only cares about Trump, and has no real ideology beyond that. Trump is just flattering his fellow narcissists and keeping them happy, for now.

No I'm not saying Trump will "save us" and be a hero. Far from it. He will be a false savior.
Many people have said in the past, and you and they are not wrong. IMO, Trump is an actor and was tasked to play a specific role. That probably includes being a "false savior", but a lot more. That's the price you have to pay for making a deal with the devil.
