There wasn't an internet in the 1950s. Tyranny was a lot less present then than today. Goverment pron bans were only a good idea pre-internet. But now they are utterly unfeasible, and reduced to vehicles for tyranny. Also, AI shenanigans.
If you want to take down pron, get your torch and pitchfork and do the mob thing yourself. Don't lazily trust the power hoarders to do it for you.
Because magazines, movie theaters, and books didn't exist...
Ah yes, because they and the internet are exactly identical and there are no significant differences between them and the internet. Also because tyranny definitely applies in the exact same way to them as it does to the internet. Riiiight.
