Really decent show, if you can get past all the propaganda. The opening scene has one of the main characters talking to her dad about "conspiracies", which is a central theme in this show. And he goes on to say that people thinking aliens built the pyramids is a dumb way for them to make sense in a chaotic world.
Humans most likely built pyramids, but I do question where they got the math and engineering knowledge to build such monuments more than the actual logistics/building of it.
But the show is premised around ui's (uploaded intelligences) and it made me wonder, is it possible that stuff like this exists now? Not in the public domain, but behind closed doors in the military spaces.
Perhaps these things are already running around on the internet amok. Its very likely there are already ai type intelligences scouring the internet for some reason.
The ending was really good to this show, its worth a watch. There is a scene where they show the process of scanning someones brain, and it really disturbed the shit out of me for some reason.
Lmao I would be tempted, if I were younger and had a terminal disease, yeah id prolly do it....but where im at in my life now. Id prefer to stay the way I was born. The idea of traveling the stars as a electronic life form with the potential of living forever though...
I watched that AMC anime "pantheon".
