I'm agnostic about any conspiracy on this, but an interesting pivot is that Kirk began keeping 7th-day Sabbath about 3 years ago but his book in its defense could only be published posthumously. That suggests he believed it conscientiously as a Christian but the evidence that he was more lately breaking from rabbinical Israel means that his legacy on the Sabbath was free to be spun by those who remain. A falsifiable test for whether this actually contributes to conspiracy would be whether the book when published takes significantly different approaches toward the Jewish aspects of Sabbath than Charlie's public statements about it over prior years.

OP is not the issue because there would have been no problem with Sabbath dinner, rejection of antisemitism, or promotion of Jewish orgs on their own face prior to his death. The issue is whether his statements about Judaism, as a whole, are discontinuous with TP policy about Judaism after his death.
